Matt frowned at his game screen as the letters "GAME OVER" flashed over and over. He cursed and flung the game console across the small room. He made sure that it landed on a couch though, those things didn't come cheap. In anger, he fished around in his pocket and took out a pack of cigarettes. He ripped open the package and took one out, popping it in his mouth. "Stupid bloody Mario and his bleedin' brother." He sighed and lit his cig.
Matt took in a long drag, and after filling his lungs with toxin, he exhaled with no sound.
With the Mario experience far from his mind now, Matt leaned against the couch. He looked around the room, the television was off at the moment, and files with faces and facts were sprawled out everywhere but the spot where Matt sat.
On the counter there was an unwrapped chocolate bar wrapper, probably only a few days old. The sidekick examined it for a moment, then took a small bite from it. "...Gross." He placed it back down and picked up his gameboy advanced again.
Three cigarettes now in the ashtray, Matt turned off his gameboy; this time with a triumphant smirk. Mello drifted into his mind for a moment, wondering where the hell he was. That Misa girl wasn't going to watch herself, and he was getting rather bored of looking at the outside of her hotel. If only her room wasn't on the other side of the building, me might of had a chance of looking through the win--
THUMP.
"Damn."
He accidentally kicked his gameboy off the coffee table.
ooc/ Sorry, random intro ^^;;
Matt can't really be the one to say "Oh I guess Light is missing" since he doesn't know Light, or can't find out in any way that he's missing except for Mello saying. "The number one Kira suspect, Light Yagami is missing." So I must wait fer Mello.
I just wanted to set up my intro, is all ^_______^

Members of SPK responded and started franticly on their orders.
"You just made my suspicions about you being Kira...go way up Light."Near thought "You are sealing your fate."

Watching the SPK members run around in a frantic raid, has brought a wide sastified toothy smile to a Shinigami's dull and boring day. Snickering echoed throughout the room but no one seemed to pat attention. All were too busy searching for Light Yagami's where-a-bouts. The Shinigami's eyes followed an SPK member who walked by too fast. Then another, and another. This reminded the Shinigami of ants who went crazy when they lost their scent line.
"Everyone is frantic about Light suddenly disappearing. Even I don't know where he went." Ryuk said to himself.
He lazily reached over and grabs a shiny red apple and drops it into his mouth, chewing it rather loud but with no care. Ryuk continues watching the SPK members as he floated in mid-air in an amused dazed. Every now and then, grabbing the red crack.

Tengen Tsunzaki and Sumire Odori walk the streets together.
"Did you hear that L went missing?"Tengen mentioned."The SPK can't find him."
"I got intel that some guy named Light replaced Lawliet."Sumire said "So Light went missing."
Tengen smirked and stopped "Where did you hear that from?"
"Mello."
"Mello?"
"Yes."Sumire said as Tengen raced to her "My family was part of the mafia, he was linked to them before they died sooo I still have connections with Mello."
"Smart lady."Tengen smiled.

Of course,
not far away from Matt was a young male with flat, short blonde hair and black eyes. He had a scar over his left eye as he took a bite out of his chocolate. He was pretty much the leader of his own gang and such and even wanted the Death Note.
Black leather jeans that somewhat looked tight, black gloves and even a black leather shirt. He was none other than Mello. One of L's chosen apprentances. Not much to do tonight.
Even though he was responisble of kidnapping Light.

Matt looked up at Mello with a half-frown. Watching him eat chocolate once again. He was slightly amused by the bored expression on his face.
"So... what exacly are your plans?" He adjusted his white goggles, the light hitting the yellow lenses made him squint. "You do realize that the entire SPK, Japanese police force-- and everyone else is looking for him."

"I know. But I'm a step ahead." Mello gave a smirk.
"I have another truck that has Light heading for the Westen Airport...While we're heading North to make them think I'm heading for the Northern Airport." If his plan goes well...They'll be on their way to Canada. Once there, they'll be able to extract the information of Light being Kira. And...
To beat Near. It was then he saw someone trying to flag him down. He turned towards Matt, "Act calm." He said before stopping and peering his head out the window,
"What?" He asked.

Matt smirked, eyes following Mello as he walked towards the window. 'He's thought it through... here's hoping it works.'
Hearing unfamiliar voices, he stretched his neck to see who's out the window. A cute girl and a guy. Hn. Matt sat back down in his chair and swung his leg onto the table.

Mello looked at the young girl with those cool black eyes, "You do look familer." He said, "What do you want? I'm going to miss my flight to Spain." He lied. He wanted to confuse them and head for the flight to Canada, "I have some very important business in Spain." He knew Near was listening in. He had the sense that made him feel that Near was watching him.
Mello kept calm. One of the most important elements if being questioned. The young blonde haired also was making sure no one was following them. And wanted to hurry up and get out of here.
He was smart and cunning.

A siren was heard from 2 streets down. Tengen almost jumped out of his skin. He grabbes Sumire's hand "We have to hide!"
"Why!?"Sumire asked,her mind not set on she still being a mafia kid.
"Were part of the mafia still."Tengen said"Even though our parents are dead,we are still mafia kids. The cops might think that we have Light. C'mon we have to hide!"
